BraapFest  2012 Feb  23th, 24th, & 25th

                "The most fun you can have on snow"

Announcing BraapFest 2012 @ Springstead Lake Lodge in Springstead, Wisconsin. This event will be held on February 23-25^th, check the flyer for specific activities. The event is being sponsored by Vintagesledders.com along with several others.  The goal remains the same as in our past years events, hold an event that is the “most fun ever on snow”. The fun on the lake will be expanded this year. We will have a complete bar and food in our heated tent on the lake. No fees, just fun for 3 days.

This will be our 5^th year setting the standard of having the most fun on snow. As always we have kept this a low cost event.

The fun is expanded by adding more events on the ice. We wish to encourage only running sleds at BraapFest. This will never be a show, rather it is to be a weekend that goes back in time when you rode what you had and bon fires were lit with fun & laughs had by all. Since we own the host resort, we can transform the bar/restaurant back in time. Our sled over the pool table has quickly become a sight not to miss.

                    Weekend Schedule  2012

Thursday February 23^th: 

   Ride to Lake Superior: 150 mile Braap to Lake Superior. We will leave at 10AM. Expect to be gone for 10 hours and we will be riding newer machines.

Friday February 24^th: 

 11AM      Ride to Price County (vintage):  Expect a 25 mile round trip with      

                                lots of pit stops.

   6PM       Dinner @ Chicos:  Mexican food and great cocktails. Across the lake      

                                 from the Lodge.

   9PM      PARTY :         @ The Lodge   huge bonfire on the lake

Saturday February 25^th:   

  7-10AM:     Breakfast :    In the dining room of the Lodge.

  10AM:        VINTAGE RIDE:  Come ride with all the sleds. Expect a 30 mile ride

                                    With a lunch stop of all you can eat pizza 2 The Birches Resort.

  2PM:      We Ride Anything:  On the lake in front of the Lodge. Drag strip, ovals,      

                                  games, and lots of fun. Food & beer served on the ice in our huge

                                  heated tent. Loud Pipes Contest.

  6PM:     Dinner @ The Lodge:   Prime Rib, Shrimp, Ribs.

  3PM- ?:   Huge Fire on the Lake:

Sunday February 26^th:  

  7am – 11am:   Breakfast at the Lodge.
